Hi, I’m Liz Joy –
a former art director turned dessert designer, blending a love for visual storytelling with the art of pastry. At Inspired to Taste, I create edible storyworlds that transform confections into whimsical, narrative-rich experiences.
What began as a creative outlet has evolved into a storytelling studio where desserts become the medium. I trained at Amaury Guichon's Pastry Academy, where I refined my skills in advanced pastry techniques and meticulous edible design—knowledge I now pour into every cookie, tart, and couture-inspired cake.
From stylized short-form videos to custom-branded recipes, my work has been featured by brands like HBO, YouTube, and Amazon Studios, and I share in-depth tutorials on YouTube to inspire fellow dreamers and dessert lovers.
When I’m not baking, I’m usually reading—often poring over vintage fairy tale and bedtime storybooks from my growing collection. These stories fuel the narrative threads behind many of my creations, inspiring the flavors, colors, and characters I bring to life in sugar.
