Created in celebration of Tweety’s 80th birthday, this project reimagines the cheeky charm of Tweety into a whimsical edible story. Drawing from animated nostalgia and playful character energy, the designs balance bold colors with delicate, thoughtful details.
Design Story
This dessert story captures Tweety’s lively personality through playful details and carefully crafted technique.
For the tart centerpiece, I hand-cut each cookie element — from the birdcage bars to Sylvester’s reaching paws — and carefully shaped them before and during baking to create a three-dimensional pop-up effect. The curved bars and paws turn the tart into a mischievous moment frozen mid-chase.
To deepen the storybook feel, the birdcage is hand-painted with layers of food coloring and luster dust, creating a softly aged gold patina that catches the light with every curve.
The bonbons continue the narrative with intricate touches: custom-blended cocoa butter colors, hand-masked cage lines, and delicate chocolate feathers sculpted with a palette knife and notched by hand, capturing the airy, animated spirit of Tweety himself.
Together, these small details weave a dessert story that feels playful at first glance, richly crafted upon closer look, and deliciously decadent when digging in.

The tart features a crisp pâte sucrée shell filled with luscious Meyer lemon curd crowned with swirls of toasted meringue — a lively balance of tang, sweetness, and airy lightness.
The bonbons continue the story with layers of tart Meyer lemon curd, luscious mascarpone white chocolate ganache, and a golden caramel center, offering a decadent yet whimsical bite that captures the spirit of cheerful mischief.
